I’m here at the “Success Seminar” with Brian Buffini. He started with three big trends in the industry.  Forgive the short quick sentences, I’m blogging as he talks.

1. Immigration
2. Longevity
3. Echo Boomers

He feels the Echo Boomers are the biggest trend, especially given the fact they are just entering the market now.

As the day has gone on he’s going over the fundamentals to a strong business.

Sales Marketing
Customer Service
Financial Management

Sales and Marketing boils down to ensuring you talk to your database, talk to prospect and talk to your sphere of influence.

Customer service is all about going above and beyond.

Financial management:

3 months cash for your business.
3  months cash for personal expense.
A full blown retirement plan.
Savings being set aside to buy real estate.

Providing good customer service is not enough.    Many realtors have gone broke providing good customer service. You need a plan to get referred, to develop leads and run your business.

Sales and marketing is your business, customer service is your job.

Quantity of leads gives you quality of leads.

So far it’s the short version of the full two seminar. Good stuff worth hearing again.

Your business is your database. a database is a list of your relationships. Hmmm sound like a social network.  But he’s not that big on the whole Facebook thing.  Strange given he points out that 97% of Echo Boomers use Social Media.
